Hello!  We are Bobby and Tabitha Rogers from York, Pennsylvania.  We recently relocated to York from Pickens, South Carolina. Our property in SC was located at the foot of Tater Hill Mountain, hence the name of our kennel.  Currently we live on my Grandfather's small farm in Pennsylvania.  Due to the "following" we have from past puppy parents, we decided to keep our name "TaterHill Kennel."

Our first experience with Springers began in the fall of 2004.  We had just gotten married in July and decided it was time for a dog.  I had always been interested in owning a Springer.  We saw puppies in a pet store, but at that time finances did not allow us to purchase one.  So, I began to look in the newspaper for a Springer needing a new home.  About a week later, I found an ad for two female Springers needing a new home.  One was a young pup and the other was several months old.  A phone call and a short drive later, we were at Rainbow Bridges Kennel.

This is where it all began…At Rainbow Bridges Kennel, we met the owner, Clarissa Mauldin.  From the moment we met her, you could see her love and excitement for this breed of dog.  She gave us the opportunity to choose between the two available females and we fell in love with Skip, the older of the two.  On the way home, we decided to change her name to Cheyenne.  Cheyenne’s photos are featured on this page. 

Cheyenne is one of the most loyal, obedient, intelligent, and incredible creatures we have ever had the privilege of knowing.  While in the house, she is calm and often found lying at our feet or under the kitchen table.  While outside, she is a ball of energy and a bundle of fun!  She seems to know our emotions and is concerned about any baby here at our hobby farm.  From our experience with Cheyenne, we knew this breed was for us!! 

In the fall of 2006, we decided that it was time for us to begin raising Springers.  So, we bought our first pair of dogs from Clarissa at Rainbow Bridges.  We have been slowly adding more Springers from Rainbow Bridges and Vidair Dogs.

TaterHill Kennel would be nonexistent without the friendship, support, and assistance of Clarissa and her daughter, Vivian, the owner of Vidair Dogs.  Words cannot express our appreciation for everything they have done for us.  We would like to thank them for not only helping us along the way but especially for introducing these wonderful dogs into our lives!

Here at TaterHill, we are striving to raise quality AKC registered English Springer Spaniels bred for temperament, color, and family companionship.  It is our sincere hope that anyone adding a new family member from TaterHill Kennel finds as much joy and love with their Springer as we did with ours!
